Brain Fun: Memory

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to announce my very first Corona app! It’s called “Brain Fun: Memory”, and it is a simple memory game that is designed mainly for kids, played by MY kids, and art directed by my five year old daughter. This app has been great in restaurants, waiting rooms, and in the car. There’s no annoying ads, no way to accidentally buy something, and no way to get to some weird settings screen. It’s just simple fun for the kids.

Right now it’s out in the Amazon app marketplace, but hopefully Apple will come next. I’ll put the link below.

Congrats on getting your first app done! Looks nice. Just a word of advice/waring though regarding the Apple appstore. I also have a similar app and it used to be called BB Memory. But when I did an update I got the message from apple that I could not use the word Memory:

“We received a notice from Ravensburger AG (“Ravensburger”) that Ravensburger believes your app (listed below) infringes Ravensburger’s trademark rights to the term, MEMORY, in certain territories identified later in this email.”

"For your information, here are the territories at issue:

Armenia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil,Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Equador, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Latvia,Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and Venezuela."
So just a heads up, incase you get into the same trouble. I just ended up changeing the name and removing evetyhting containing the word Memory regarding the game. So its called BB Match now :slight_smile: [import]uid: 17969 topic_id: 28866 reply_id: 116294[/import]

Big congrats on your first Corona app - looking forward to checking it out on iOS! (My Android devices are currently packed away after a move.)
