Bubbles

Just a new bubble game for my daughter

She likes bubble witch but isn’t cuties enough for her so made this for her instead has all the features of bubble witch minus the map which i am working on when I am done I will post up the code to gitHub for everyone.

Also sports my new character creation system because she likes to dress up her characters so at any given time between levels she can change clothes and hair styles etc. and so forth.

Wow ! Nice. I’m working on a match 3 game engine called “Bubbles” lol. Where do you get your graphics? i get mine from shutterstock.com.

But my Bubbles is just what I’m calling the Engine. I’m going to build match 3 games with it.

Hey Jeff,

Nice work on the match three game looks like it is coming together nicely

The game for my daughter is not called bubbles (actually doesn’t have a name as it wont be going in the store) just called the thread “Bubbles” because it is a bubble shooter, it is just something her and I do for fun she is 7 so it is really fun to spend time with her doing these kinds of things and you get to teach her things in a really fun way.

On the graphics, it really depends I have accounts on Shutterstock etc. and a lot of times I will just grab some EPS files and take a piece here or a piece there if I am in a hurry or use something for inspiration and then build the actual art in Photoshop, a lot of it really depends on what I am doing and if I am feeling lazy or not :)

If I am not pressed for time then I just make it myself

You do some fine work sir!

Rob

Hi Christopher,

your “just for fun” written game looks really great.

I know it is off topic but i have written a math educational app/game for first grade and perhaps it would be interesting for your daughter to play. Till now i have nearly no feedback from users. So it is very difficult for me to “improve” the app. So any feedback is very appreciated. There is a free version at the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.app_artist.support.maths_artists_lite_en but if you are interested i would give you a promo code for the full version on iTunes.

Thanks,

Thomas

Thanks Christopher,

I love playing Match 3 games but a lot of them are so slow. At least to me. I wanted to design a more robust engine – one that is very fast and responsive (Where you can make matches while the gems are still dropping on the other side of the board!)

Anyway, I cant’ wait to try out your Bubbles shooter. Please let us know when its ready. I actually play “Bubble Witch saga” a lot. Lolz.

BTW, I’m having a  baby girl this January

Thanks guys, will be finishing up the map logic this weekend so might be able to post the code up as early as next week

@burns, prepare for fun little girls will keep you on your toes prepare yourself for making everything cute lol
