Bug in widget.newSwitch for Build 2013.1138?

Hi,

I just downloaded Build 2013.1138, and I discovered the widget switches failed. It complaints about nil values for backgroundWidth, backgroundHeight, overlayWidth and overlayHeight. But when I supplied some values to them the Corona simulator just crashes.

Has anyone else encountered similar problems?

looks like a bug to me.  Can you file a bug report using the “Report a bug” link above.

Hi Rob,

I just submitted the report.

Thanks.

I just want to alert everyone that I have discovered another bug in widget.newPickerWheel in build 2013.1138. This new release introduces a feature where users can tap on the wheel and it will scroll automatically to the tapped value. Unfortunately it does not return the correct value. Scrolling to a value still works though.

I have reported this bug.

fyi.

Hi Robin,

Thanks for the reports. I’ll be looking into these ASAP.

Hi Robin,

Just letting you know that both the reported bugs are fixed now, the first one on Monday, and the second one starting with today’s build (1149)

Thanks for reporting, and a great weekend,

Alex
