[BUG] Pressing DELETE button on the keyboard deletes two chars instead of one

I don’t know how to replicate this bug but it has happened three times already.  It happens after a long coding session.  A Glider restarts gets it back in working order.

this is happening to me too. When deleting a selection it removes an extra character.
