Bug submission form

Please submit bugs using our bug submission form:

https://developer.anscamobile.com/project/issues/

This goes straight into our tracking database.

EDIT- Sean 2010.07.28

This URL has been updated to point to our public facing bug tracker. [import]uid: 54 topic_id: 868 reply_id: 300868[/import]

So you guys don’t want us to post bugs in the bug forum anymore, instead use the form.

Is there a way so we can see if a bug was already posted? And what is the bug forum section good for then?

Are you adding the posted bugs here yourself to your database or do we have to repost them with the form? [import]uid: 5712 topic_id: 868 reply_id: 1933[/import]

This is an evolving process. Our first step is to make sure every issue is properly tracked, then assigned, etc.

We definitely want to make sure you can see where the issues are, and actually to be able to search existing issues. We’re researching the tools to see if we can make that happen, and we may have to switch tools to do that, or maybe we can get FogBugz to cooperate.

We are posting existing bugs from the forum to the database, you don’t need to post them again.

What is the bug forum for? Hopefully, in the future, we won’t need it any more, once everything is set up. [import]uid: 54 topic_id: 868 reply_id: 1934[/import]

Eric,

I think the bug forum is useful for posting problems because it is search-able within the forum and provides useful information to others.

Sometimes what we think is a bug is just a misunderstanding of the SDK or the Lua language. Posting it here causes a discussion that can lead to logging the issue as a bug or helping to educate others.

Anyway, just my two cents.
