Build 1075: "ios: Removing Inneractive Sdk Due To Uuid Restriction"?

Can someone clarify what this means? Right at this moment I have an iOS app with Inneractive ads in review.

sirnemo - Here is the deal. Over the last few days we decided to temporarily take out inneractive from the engine because of some potential UDID issues.

I want to be clear: we are not saying inneractive is going to have UDID issues May 1. However, since this public release will be out for a few weeks at least, we couldn’t take the risk that it would have something built in that could potentially have issues starting May 1. So we made the decision to take it out.

Our goal is to bring inneractive back ASAP as a decoupled plugin, but the ETA on this is not yet defined. It should happen soon.

What does this mean?

  1. If you already have built an app that has inneractive, it does not affect you. Your app will work fine.

  2. If you need to use inneractive, you can use one of the recent daily builds to build your app and you will be fine.

  3. However, if you use a build starting with tomorrow’s build, for the immediate future you won’t be able to use inneractive until we bring it back as a plugin

Let me know if this answers your questions.

If your app is currently pending a review, you should be good to go since the Inneractive library is there and Apple isn’t rejecting apps yet.

Thank you for the information. I’m really happy with Inneractive so far, so here’s hoping it’s back soon.

Oh man - this really really sucks!!! so I just completed adding inneractive ads into my app and was doing final testing when I decided to download the latest build…

This breaks my heart big time… -ug- I guess i’ll just publish with my current version to android markets until this gets fixed.

Please follow up in this Forum so we can be updated.

thanks

Can you fall back to the last daily build that has Inneractive in it?

correct, i am using an earlier build “STILL” I guess i should have clarified that…But shouldn’t I hold off because of the UUID issue?

SO my app is not thrown out?

Thanks

Apple won’t start rejecting apps until 5/1, so as long as you can submit and be approved by then there won’t be a problem.  They won’t retroactively go back and reject current apps using it.

doubleslashdesign - Also, I want to mention, it is not clear any app using inneractive would get rejected. In fact, they probably won’t.

However, we took it out (only temporarily) because the Corona public release will be out there for weeks and we could not take the risk if they were.
