I just downloaded both build 640 and 641. The simulator displays only a blank black screen regardless of what apps I open. Even the Corona menu for opening a project doesn’t show. However, when I click around the black screen, the typical functions get triggered (E.g: When I click the area where the “Open a project” corona button is, the window to open a project opens up. Any idea how I can resolve this problem?
639 introduced significant changes to the OpenGL renderer on Mac. A build or two before that introduced the new welcome window which tested the bounds of Corona much further than before. Would you please identify exactly which build your problem appeared?
Also, please include your system information (CPU, video card, amount of RAM, etc, i.e. basically the stuff from System Profiler). Please also check the console output for any error messages we might be printing. (Our video card requirements had to increase in order to get native display objects on Mac. Also be aware that we require a display to be connected to the Mac for now.)
You might also try updating to the latest version of OS X (10.6.8 or 10.7.2).
And please submit all this info to a bug report so we don’t lose track of it. Post the bug number here.
Hi. Just want to tell that I’m also running Snow Leopard 10.6.7
and tested build 640 without seeing any of the problems mentioned above.
And by the way it’s so nice with native textfields and video playback in the simulator.
Saves me a lot of time… thumps up!

The “Unable to clear quarantine” I’ve never seen before and am not sure what’s causing it. Are you running from a network mount or with some strange user permission settings? Fixing this is probably the easiest thing for you to do. Try Googling for that message and see if any of the remedies work for you.
The second message is related to your video card. Many of the changes we recently made to utilize Core Animation (to get things like native widgets) required us to bump up the video card requirements slightly. We don’t think the requirements are unreasonable though…we only require that your Mac video card is at least as powerful/capable as the original iPhone (2G). At first glance, your Intel GMA X3100 seems to have the overall feature set we need, but the yet the name of the feature we are requesting doesn’t match. I’ll need to do some investigation on this.
But I recommend looking at why you are getting "“Unable to clear quarantine” messages. This might be breaking other things.
The “Unable to clear quarantine” messages seem to have be related to Dropbox, which was resolved with a newer version but the gfx card problem still exists and I know that the X3100 is far more powerful and capable than the original iPhone.
If you could get a fix for this it would be great otherwise my subscription to Corona is useless as this the main machine I use. [import]uid: 8697 topic_id: 16602 reply_id: 63097[/import]
Actually, you would be surprised at how crappy the Intel GMA video cards can be. A lot of functionality gets offloaded to the CPU. Still, I think the X3100 should make the cut.
cublah, would you please submit a bug report so we don’t lose track of this. It doesn’t have to be long/detailed, but include the output you included here and a link to this post. I might contact you directly to help us test.

on my macbook pro it works with build 645.
When I start Corona SDK, the graphics just switch from the Intel card to the Radeon. [import]uid: 70114 topic_id: 16602 reply_id: 63337[/import]
