Build 942 degraded Android audio performance

Just rebuilt our app using build 942 and noticed a drastic increase in the audio delay compared to a build as recent as 938. While 942 is supposed to fix and ‘improve’ the audio play speed, it actually got worse. The delay before playing a sound (mp3 or wav) is twice (subjectively) what it was in 938 when played on Android 4.03 and 2.3.4.

Can anyone else verify this issue on Android versions other than 4.03 and 2.3.4? This build was supposed to resolve some longstanding issues with Android audio and has actually gone the other way. [import]uid: 168249 topic_id: 32539 reply_id: 332539[/import]

We need a simple reproducible test case. We also need to know the exact hardware/model of device you are running on (and of course the Android OS version).
