Build failing (multiple versions of corona tried)

Hello.

I have tried to build 2 of my apps as well as 3 sample apps (all new projects created using the corona simulator: the bridge one, the tabs example and the physics engine template) and I cannot get the build process to complete. Every time I get a Lua compilation error. I have tried using the latest JDK as well as the 32 bit version of JDK 8. I’ve also tried deleting the .gradle folder and the appdata for corona. I’ve tried several builds including the latest one (3509) and it is the same error every time. I’m using Windows 10. I don’t think I have tried to build any of my apps on this computer since I reinstalled windows not too long ago, so perhaps I have forgotten to install something? I only installed the JDK and corona, do I need something else? Also, I tried compiling for Windows and HTML5 and both of those built without errors.

(Seeing as its the same error with my apps and the sample apps I haven’t included build.settings here.)

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated

Hey. Thanks a lot for the report. I think I know what is going on and how to fix it. Would you be available to test a fix like in 30-60 minutes or so? I’ll post instructions

Can you please test a fix? Replace “C:\Program Files (x86)\Corona Labs\Corona\Native\Corona\android\resource\android-template.zip” with this file, and try building again:

Thank you. My app now builds but then it crashes immediately on being opened.

hi! Im getting crazy with these corona upgrade! I finished my app in corona 2017 version, i tryied to release at play store but the API 28 stoped me! Since last week im trying to find the solution, but nothing is working! here my corona simulator logout:https://pastebin.com/Z5jaXh9z
