Build for Amazon App Store, test in Nexus 7?

Hi everyone!

I’m thinking about expanding my market by releasing some Apps on the Amazon App Store. I want to start with Amazon App Store prior Google play mainly by the tax treatment (Is a lot easier on Amazon).

I want to buy a tablet, but, I’m not sure if a Kindle Fire (closed, and only for Amazon Apps) or a Nexus 7 (open, and useful if at any moment I want to expand to Google Play).

My question is, can I build a Kindle App and test it on a Nexus 7? Does anyone have experience doing this? or is better to purchase a Kindle Fire to test Kindle Apps?

Thank you for your help!!

It’s no problem at all. I test and release my amazon apps on any google tablet, the app package is exactly the same that you submit. I have been using the following

  • Galaxy S
  • Galaxy S2
  • Galaxy S3
  • Viewsonic GTablet (original)
  • Adam Notion Ink Tablet.

Nexus 7 is very cheap and your best target I think. [import]uid: 142130 topic_id: 31703 reply_id: 126689[/import]

Thank you hopkinsp!!, I’ll get a Nexus then.
