I need help getting a keychain certificate for AdHoc distribution. I follow the directions in Corona’s building-devices-iphoneipad page. After I have used Keychain Access to request a certificate, and after it has been established on my desktop, I go to http://developer.apple.com/iphone/manage/overview/index.action and click on Certificates in the lefthand column. But there is not any ‘Add Certificate’ button, as the instructions assume. The screen does not look like the screen shot shown. It only says ‘You currently do not have a valid certificate’, and there is a “Request Certificate” button.

If I click that button, I get instructions to use Keychain Access and to go through the same procedure I just did.

My Keychain Access program shows these 4 certificates:

  1. Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certification Authority, expires Feb 14, 2016
  2. iPCU Certificate Authority ( ), expires May 7, 2012
    3) iPhone Developer: Bruce Martin (UP……….UN), expires Mar 7, 2012
    4) iPhone Distribution: Bruce Martin, expires May 14, 2011

I have XCode4 installed, and the Organizer’s Developer Profile shows just items 3 and 4 from the above list. There are no Provisioning Profiles.

I’m new to the Mac (came from the PC world), so I’m not familiar with the Mac terminology. And I can’t figure out what is wrong or how to continue.

    Can anyone help?

UPDATE: I got past this problem following the excellent slides at http://blog.anscamobile.com/2010/08/ansca-at-ios-4-0-development-training-camp-slides-now-available/#slides.

What confused me earlier is that the image of the iOS Provisioning Portal for Certificates shown in the building-devices-iphoneipad page seems to out of date. I saw no ‘Add Certificate’ button where the tutorial says to click it. So I assumed I did something wrong, and kept trying over again.

The correct thing is to ignore the click on the ‘Add Certificate’ button instruction. Just go to the next step: Click on the ‘Choose File’ button…
