Build Settings - Game Assets

I finished programming my levels and I’m working on my build settings.  I’m reading the build.setting guide and looking at this section about the various sizes.  (See below).

I know these are elementary questions and I should probably know the answers but here goes…

Are all of my game assets that I created considered an App Icon?

And I am wondering do I need to resize all of my game assets to fit these sizes?

Or is the App Icon the little picture I see on the App Store?

Thanks

Lori

Hi Lori,

The “app icon” only represents the little “tile” that you see on the device (to open the app). It has nothing to do with your other app images/assets. You should include all of the sizes that we specify – named exactly as the guide indicates – for the platform(s) you’re deploying to. In other words, if you’re only targeting iOS, you can omit the Android ones, or vice-versa.

Thanks.  I’ve got my build setting working (at least in the simulator) but I need to peruse the Apple and Android as recommended in the tutorial.   Great tutorial!

Have a great day.
