Build to iOS

Hello

I’m about to publish my app. I did the android tests all well. I wanted to do iOS tests but for reasons of force I can not connect the iPhone to the pc.

Is there a way to test the app without connecting the iphone to the pc? Put the test app on the internet and download it on the iPhone or the like?

You will need to use a Mac with xCode installed to push a built to an iPhone.  PC’s cannot build for iOS devices.

I’m sorry. I meant MAC.

I can test apps without the iPhone being connected to the Mac?

Using a USB cable is the easiest and quickest way.

You can upload a build to iTunes (if you have a paid developer account) and publish via test flight if you want it over the air but you will have to go through the standard Apple approval process.  This is not a slick process compared to Android.

This is a problem.

For the account there is no problem but to wait for the apple confirmation yes.

Is there no other solution? :frowning:

Assuming you have your phone synced with iTunes…

Open iTunes and enable WiFi syncing. You should see your device in iTunes. Make sure you’re synced.

Have Corona build to “Show in Finder”.  Take the .app file that we output and make an .iap file (search the forums for steps for this).

Drag the .ipa file to the list of apps and sync your device over wifi.

That should work.

Does this work even if the device is in another location?

The fact is that I’m using a friend’s mac and the iPhone can not physically be close to the Mac

They have to be on the same WiFi network and his iTunes would have to recognize your device, which may include being logged in to the same Apple ID. I don’t use this method, so I’m not sure how much more I can help with it. I always found it to be the slowest way to update apps.

TestFlight may be the preferred wireless option.

For now it does not work to publish on iOS …
