How can I build an app for testing it on device in corona sdks?
When I hit the build button, i can only build for xCode Simulator not for device, what do I have to accomplish for that? Do I ned further license or membership?

I have the same question and although the link provided does list out all the steps necessary, it starts with the user having to create an apple developer account. From my understanding, since Xcode7, apple allows developers to test their apps on devices without signing up for the apple developer account. Why cant there be a similar solution for Corona?
Or is it that apple restricts the ability to test on device only through Xcode and does not allow any other 3rd party development tools to do the same?
In short, is the apple developer program absolutely necessary to test on an idevice? I am just doing some casual development and spending 99 bucks does not seem worth it at the moment.
