Building from South Africa

Hi all,

i’ve been working on a business App and am ready to test it out on my iPad, now i know i’ve got to get the Apple developer’s license and certificates as well as purchase the full version of Corona (well worth it!).

My problem is that i live in South Africa and of course our iTunes store is pathetic, so like everyone here i registered a US iTunes account. No credit card is linked and i buy online vouchers for purchases.

The question i have now however is; can i build my app for the US iTunes store? Will i have to link my credit card to my iTunes account for any sales money to get to me or is payment from app sales not linked to my iTunes account?

There’s no way for me to link my SA credit card with a US iTunes account so i hope i don’t have to create an actual SA iTunes account as that would suck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. [import]uid: 44490 topic_id: 21895 reply_id: 321895[/import]

As I know you can be from anywhere in the world and sell your apps and games WORLD-WIDE. It does not mean you have to have a iTC from US to be able to sell there. You must have a Developer`s account with Apple and after that, filling the account/contract settings on iTC panel with your own personal things from your country and you should be able to sell world-wide or even wherever you want to.
Hope that helps.

Even with a South African account you can still build for the US store and other stores worldwide; it is only when it comes to buying apps that certain places are very limited. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 21895 reply_id: 87251[/import]
