Can app cause internet problems

Ive just release a new app called hello Words available on google play. One of my users contacted me and said he believes my app is causing his phone to have problems connecting to the internet. Is it possible for an app to cause this sort of problem?

Not likely.  Corona goes to sleep when you suspend the app, so… if it isn’t active while they are browsing, their problem is from something else.

Based on the fundamentals of the android operating system, could it cause connectivity issues? That’s a broad question, in that it would first be benificial to know what the app does and any set build settings or configuration settings that modify or use any portion of the internet.

The real test of this issue would to have the user run a speedtest while the app is installed. Then uninstall the app, and run another speedtest. Ask the user how many bars they have when the test is ran, as well as if they are running 4G or 3G. Some of the requests may sound redundant. But if the issue is not widespread, it may a phone specific issue that could be resolved by the user clearing their phone cache partition.
