Can I compileiPad edition & iPhone edition?

Hello,

I have an iPhone 5 and iPad Mini. But I want to sell my iPhone 5.

Can I compile an app/game made in Corona SDK for iPad and Iphone, so I can test BOTH versions on the iPAD MINI? Or do I still need an iPhone 5 for that?

I am not writing any 3D high graphics-games or something, just Box 2D games and handy apps.

PS. I hope I don’t hurt anyones feelings when I say I want to sell it :wink:

Hi @Sneeuwvos,

Well, you can build the app for “Universal” (both iPhone and iPad), but to truly, fully test on iPhone5, you’ll need to do that on the actual device. Have you considered getting a used iPod Touch 5th-gen with the same screen size/resolution as the iPhone5? This would be a good device for testing on, and you wouldn’t need to get locked into any phone service contract or whatever.

Best regards,

Brent Sorrentino

@Brent; thanks for your reply.

I wanted to get an iPod Touch 5th generation, but I saw it doesn’t come with a GPS sensor, nor does it have the same CPU/GPU specs as the iPhone 5.

But its a good suggestion. I wonder what most people do.

You can use the iPad to test the actual GPS functions you need and then just make sure the display is right on the iPod Gen 5 (you won’t be able to test the GPS functions).  So it can be done without the iPhone 5.

I have both an iPhone 5 and iPad 4… but then the iPhone 5 is my primary phone.

@Rob: Thanks for your reply :slight_smile: That is a very good idea
