Can someone give me the latest version of Corona for PPC Macs?

So I’m a Windows user who got a Mac Mini with Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.8) Specs:

Processor: 1.5 GHz PowerPC G4 with 512 MB DDR SDRAM
Startup Disk: Macintosh HD
VRAM: 64MB
(If you need any other specs tell me I am still new to Macs so finding specs is a bit harder for me)

Anyways I am looking to program apps with Corona because Corona is so amazingly simple. I don’t need the most up to date features or anything, I will be content with programming apps for my older iTouch, which I think is iOS 2 but I’m not for sure. I also have an iPhone 4.

So can somebody give me a download link to a version of Corona that runs on my PPC Mac? I am running on the administrator account.

Thanks in Advance,

Hey Nighthawk,

We don’t actually have anything available that will run on Leopard I’m afraid.

As you are a Windows guy one option would be to develop on the PC and then use macincloud (or a similar service) to build for the store.

I hope this helps, sorry we can’t hook you up.

Does this ‘macincloud’ require me to pay? Because I would be content with, instead of releasing my apps on the iTunes store, just compiling my apps so that they work with my iPod…

(I have used the Windows version, but was disappointed when I figured out Windows couldn’t build to iOS…)

I will look into it but thank you for you answer!

Edit: Looked into that Mac in cloud. I don’t think so though. For the amount I would have to pay for that… I mind as well just buy an Intel Mac Mini for 600$ (which I plan to do eventually but I can’t yet) [import]uid: 58008 topic_id: 25393 reply_id: 102730[/import]

Hey again,

Yes they are a paid service - obviously they’re a company with expenses too.

RE the disappointment, I’m sorry, unfortunately Apple wont let you install Xcode on a PC and it is required to build for iOS.

You can do your development on the PC and move it to the Mac when you get it, so at least you can move forward and aren’t totally stuck with iOS development.

Sorry I can’t give you any better solutions for this.

Again, thanks for all the help. I’ll probably just continue with PC game development and then start learning Corona again once I get an Intel Mac. [import]uid: 58008 topic_id: 25393 reply_id: 102889[/import]
