we allow you to do that. we allow up to several days without having to re-log in.
maybe your browser settings are resetting it.

I set my Safari->Preferences->Autofill just now and that helps, but I still have to login every time, unlike gmail, Facebook, LinkedIn, Netflix, etc.

The site is *much* better about keeping you logged in than it used to – now I only have to do that once every few days.
Maybe try clearing your cache and cookies and trying again? Or just go in and clear the cookies related to this site so you don’t wipe everything.
