Can we make some suggestions / requests about desktop apps ?

Hey Corona’s Team !

Again, thanks a lot for bringing Corona to desktops. It’s in my opinion a huge game-changer…

I know this is still a beta version, but, are we “allowed” to do some suggestions / requests ?

If yes, here are some that I have in mind (and that would help me porting my game to Windows ;)) :

  • Being able to play videos (native.newVideo())

  • Being able to use the right mouse and the mousewheel.

  • Being able to share on social websites directly from Windows (since this is actually coming in Windows 10)

  • Steam integration

I hope this is the right place to do this…

Hah! Of course you can make suggestions. Just keep in mind that when you get down to it we’re a small team.

Native Videos is on the to-do list, but not on the immediate to-do list.

You can already use the mouse , and have documentation on it. Keep in mind OS X does not yet support mouse movement or scrollwheel events (but Windows does).

We are working on some features that will allow social sharing , in one form or another.

And, we definitely have Steamworks on the list.
