Can you read in data from a plist file (or anything) into an array?

I am trying to find out if I am capable of reading data into an array from a plist file I have.

I can probably convert the plist file to other types, so I guess the question is what types of files are supported if any, and what does that look like?

I have tried doing a search for this, but the search feature on the website doesn’t take me to any forum posts I click on.
