Can you use particles without having to pay for the Pro version of Corona

Is there a way you can use particles and particle emitters such as those made here: http://onebyonedesign.com/flash/particleeditor/ without also having to buy the pro version of Corona?

ParticleCandy for Corona does a very similar job but still charges.

There is also CBEffects: http://gymbyl.com/programming/cbeffects.html

Hi @tyrotech123,

There are recent murmurs in the forums that the developer of Particle Candy is no longer active or supporting the product. So unless that changes, then you may want to avoid using it.

Note that you can still design particle effects for Corona’s built-in system without using Particle Designer. It merely accepts a JSON table of emitter properties and values.

@roaminggamer,

Are you still supporting your Particle Editor product outlined in your guest post from last year?

@Brent,

The product is still available, but I don’t provide support any more.  I did however lower the price from $30 to the low low price of $3.

That said, if folks don’t want to risk even $3, there is always this free tool: http://onebyonedesign.com/flash/particleeditor/

Folks will need to write their own ‘loader’ to use the output of the free tool, or can get my loader here: https://sellfy.com/p/GWEz/
