Cannot Confirm Developer to load Corona

2016.2997 was my last daily build that I have been staying on for quite some time.

I wanted to update, yet even when I click “Open Anyway” OSx still gives me the pop up telling me I it can’t load the file.  I tried it on the latest two builds 3067 and 3068, can’t load them.

“Corona Simulator” was blocked from opening because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.

iOS

MacOS Sierra 10.12 (16A323)

builds 3067 and 3068

I can however get those versions to run by clicking on the Terminal and loading that way. Although its the old terminal (not the Corona one) and gives me the Corona-Terminal is deprecated.

Anyone else having this problem?

I just downloaded 3068 and it opened with the “You just downloaded this from the Internet are you sure” message.  You might want to check your System Preferences -> Security * Privacy click on the general tab and at the bottom where it says “Allow apps downloaded from:” that you have App Store and identified developers selected. You will have to click on the pad lock in the bottom left hand corner first before you change it.

yeah, that’s what is so strange. My OSx does have that clicked. And that is where it gives me the option to  Run App Anyway, which use to allow Corona to load, but now it just sends me back like I am stuck in a loop. hmm… I just did an OS update so I am going to see if that fixed it.

Hi @Lava Level,

If you recently updated macOS, that might be the cause. I noticed after a recent update that Apple is really locking down things like that (via that Settings thing), probably for overall security for the general public… and that even if you had it selected to something more forgiving before, it might get reset to a more strict policy which you must then change again.

This problem seems to be solved with the latests pub release! weeeee!
