Cannot full screen the youtube feed from webview

Good day! I downloaded the business-apps sample in “https://coronalabs.com/blog/2013/10/09/a-look-inside-a-sample-corona-powered-business-app/” and installed it in my phone but when I try to play the video in fullscreen mode I cannot see the video I can only see a white screen and hear the audio. Can someone help me with this? See the screen shot, Thanks a lot

We will need more info to help you.

  1. What version of Corona SDK are you using?

  2. What Operating System and Device are  you trying this on?

  3. Are you getting any relevant messages in your device’s console log? Need help reading the log?  See: https://docs.coronalabs.com/guide/basics/debugging/index.html

On my iPhone 6 (iOS 10.1.1) it played the videos just fine at full screen.

My guess is app transport security is not enabled.

Hello Rob and Scott, Thank you for the response. Unfortunately I am using Android 6.0 and I am using the latest build of corona sdk. And I don’t see any relevant messages in my phone

I just tested the Business App sample on an Android tablet running 6.0 and I observed the same issue.  The app uses native.newWebView to play the YouTube video. At this point, I’m not sure what to suggest. I need to investigate this issue. A quick google seems to show this is a common problem and some of the solutions may not be easily achievable without some engineering time. Let me look into this further.
