Cannot install mobile provisioning profile

I recently got a new macbook and I am unable to install my provisioning profile from the ios member center. It downloads fine but when I try to open it to install it, it opens Xcode but doesn’t do anything. Not sure what to do, or if I’m doing something wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

David

In your home folder, you can find “Library/Mobile Device/Provisioning Profiles”. You can move them to that folder and accomplish the same thing.

I have the opposite problem, in a way. I have about six or so expired Provisioning Profiles cluttering up my Build… dialog box. Is there a way to get rid of the expired ones?

Hi @Bob McD,

I’m pretty sure that if you go to the folder that Rob mentioned and simply trash the expired profiles, then restart the Corona Simulator, the clutter will be gone. Of course, those files are named in no sensible or understandable way, so I suggest you simply trash every file in the folder, then re-download the profiles you need from your Apple developer portal page (or create new ones) and install them.

Hope this helps,

Brent

One thing to note. If Xcode downloaded the profile, it will have a computer generated name with an extension of .mobileprofile (or .provisionprofile for OS-X apps). If it has a human readable name, it’s one you personally downlaoded.  But as Brent said, it’s just as easy to remove everything then download your profiles by hand.
