Ok. I’m completely confused as to what to do. I have the trial version of Corona SDK and have made an application I want to test out on my device. I start up the Corona Simulator and try to Build for Android. Every time I get an error saying “Could not find the Java Development Kit (JDK). This is required in order to build for Android. You’ll need to install version 6 (32-bit)”. I don’t have this version, I have Java SE Development Kit 7 Update 7. Should I uninstall this version and re-install version 6 which I’m not even sure you can get anymore from Java home page? Can’t I do a build of application with the trial version or do I have to purchase the subscription version in order to make a build? Please advise. Uninstall Java 7. Install 6. It is still available. Things will work afterwards. [import]uid: 160496 topic_id: 30726 reply_id: 123097[/import]
betsyjsg ,

Yes, you should. Get the Java 6 (JDK) on Oracle`s website, get rid of all instances of your actual Java 7 from your computer and voilá. Attention! The Java6 has to be the 32bit version and not 64bit (even your system being so)
• Can’t I do a build of application with the trial version?
Yes, you absolutely can. CoronaSDK allows you to build for your device (as a developers testing puporse) even you not being a **paid** member. Actually CoronaSDK is very "freedom" when letting the trial users test a billion times even before them subscribe, isnt it nice?
• …or do I have to purchase the subscription version in order to make a build?
No, you do not have to buy as I tried to explain above.
I hope that helps,
Cheers,

Thanks for the suggestions. After uninstalling version 7 and installing version 6, the build function worked. It is pretty cool that you can test without paying a single cent just to see how it all works. Don’t know of too many software packages that allow you that much freedom. You`re welcome!
Glad to help.
