Can't change profile

Ok, dumb question here, but I can’t seem to change my profile on the Corona website. I can change name / password etc, but there seems to be no way to change my company info… how can I do that? Any help?

Click account, then edit, THEN click personal information. (It’s in the bar just above the area you enter info.)

No worries at all.

I think you had trouble finding it because that “bar” at the top doesn’t exactly stand out. (Or rather the different options on it don’t.)

Easy to miss either way.

I’m not seeing an option to change my profile information at all (email, password, etc…). When I view my account there is no “edit” button or anything that would indicate an ability to update information.

Perhaps something got messed up during the site redesign?

@RSCdev, thank you for the link. Looks obvious from your screenshot, but I don’t have that link showing up under my account. When I click on “Account” I don’t have any option to update or edit at all. I thought maybe I had to update my profile through the forum, but there isn’t any link here either. I hope I’m not crazy, but had you not provided that link, I’d still be out of luck.

Mike did you manage to update? I can’t tell from this line; “I hope I’m not crazy, but had you not provided that link, I’d still be out of luck.” - I read that as you were able to update using that link but not in the “old” way of going to your account and clicking “edit”.

I seem to be experiencing the same problem as MaCai.

There is no “edit” option available on my account page and when I go to the Dashboard and click “Update your profile”, I get a page that only allows me to edit my username, email address, password, avatar. Not my company name or url. I can’t seem to see the “bar just above the area you enter info” that Peach mentioned.

Any ideas?

Yes, I was able to update via the link that RSCdev provided.

Now that I’ve updated my information I can see the “Dashboard” link in my top menu. The Dashboard link wasn’t there prior to updating my info.

@Peach, I had already tried that. It takes me to the same page I get to by clicking the “Dashboard” link on the top of the screen, but the “Update your profile” link offered on that page takes me to another page (“Account Info”) where only my login name, email address, password, avatar, email settings and locale can be changed. What I’m wanting to change is the company name and website url listed in my profile.

When I follow this link:

I see all the company info listed, but no option to edit it, either.

@Peach, my friend, I really did not know about the image`s problem at all!

I think that the webserver got some problem that I did not notice.

But I can check it up and also post here again if it become necessary for helping others sure.

@Rodrigo - A shame - are you using an image service? If so you may want to try puu.sh - it’s very reliable. (I like your new avatar, I am a fan of the good Mr Walker ;))

@pansensory - I believe that info is pulled from the studio directory (IIRC) - can you try updating it here if the option is given, please? http://developer.coronalabs.com/community/studios/

@Peach - there is a link to “Update your profile now”, http://developer.coronalabs.com/user/login?destination=/community/studios which lands on a 404-type page, saying “Sorry! This page can’t be accessed.”

Any other ideas? Should I contact support, like it says? Or are you just as likely to be the one answering that communication anyway?

Incidentally I see myself listed in the studios directory (though when I click on my image it tries to go to developer.coronalabs.com/www.gosubgames.com, which is obviously munging my destination link with the root url of the source site. I clicked on a few other links to be sure and about half the ones I clicked on went to the site they’re supposed to and the other half went to developer.coronalabs.com/_whatever_.com

@Rodrigo - Sorry to hear that, hope you can get it resolved, server/site issues are always a massive pain. (I had one myself last night, broke my .htaccess file. Oops!)

@Ollie - Currently I’m not likely to be the one who gets assigned your support ticket, though even if I did in this case I would reassign it to someone in the office. (There are times being at a distance puts one at a severe disadvantage, this is one of those.)
The fact you can’t edit it is one issue, the url is another - it was an issue in the past, too - but I thought it had been solved.
I will bring both of these issues up in the morning, hopefully they can be sorted out quickly.
