Can't Register New Device

Hi,

I am having trouble registering my new iPad in Xcode.

I follow the steps outlined here, but I get stuck on step 2. I can’t “enable it for development” because the “Use device for development” option doesn’t even appear.

Please check screenshot below, which is what appears in Xcode when I go to Window --> Devices and Simulators --> Devices.

My Xcode version is 9.4.1

Any help is appreciated as I can not move forward unless I can install my app on my device for testing.

Many thanks in advance!

Unfortunatly Apple changes their processes faster than we can keep our documentation up to day. Simply open the Settings app on your iPad and scroll down to the Developer option and tap on it. You will of course need to have the device plugged in to your computer and agree to trust the computer. That should take care of enabling Developer mode.

My iPad is trusted by my computer.

Just to be sure, I went to settings and “Clear Trusted Computers”, then connected it to my computer and allowed it access to my iPad, but that didn’t work either.

Am I missing something here?

Have you enable developer mode on the device?

Sorry for the late replay. I had real-life interruptions.

Getting back to the original topic, it IS enabled for developer mode.

Any thoughts on why it’s not working?

There isn’t much Corona specific about that part of the process. Have you tried doing a Google Search for answers from sites like Apple’s developer forums, StackOverflow, etc?
