Certificate Not Installed on Build

Hi Everyone…

I have Corona 2014-2189(2014.3.6)

I just put an app in the app store, last July…

And now everything is different…

I follow the same steps (I think)

I downloaded the certificate, and double click to install it

then go to organizer and import the certificate

but I see in Corona build, – Certificate not installed

any ideas in how to get it installed

please help me out

Thanks for your time

this will mean a lot to my family…

I went here

http://docs.coronalabs.com/guide/distribution/iOSBuild/index.html#building

try refreshing, and still they are not installed

Hello,

Can you please download the latest public build (2393a) and try building again?

https://developer.coronalabs.com/downloads/corona-sdk

Thanks,

Brent

Thanks Brent…

Now I see the certificates.

So I have to download the new Corona every couple of months?

also I notice the “Composer Icon” in the main window…

Do I have to start using Composer instead of storyboard?

I read That I can keep using storyboard… but I will need the library…

where can I get that, and when do I need it?

Hi again,

Because of some forced changes that Apple made not too long ago, we needed to change some things in Corona, thus the need for 2393a. So, you don’t always need to upgrade to the latest version of Corona, but generally speaking, we suggest that you always use the most recent public build.

You can continue using Storyboard for now, if you prefer. At some point it will be deprecated in favor of Composer, but most likely we will continue to offer the framework as open source after that point, for those developers who have projects built around Storyboard. However, for all new projects, I highly suggest that you change to Composer.

On that note, I should mention the difference between the “Composer API”, which is the official scene management library (like Storyboard), and “Corona Composer”, which is the GUI tool in which you can visually design scenes and more. You can use the Composer API (scene manager) without necessarily using Corona Composer, but the choice is yours.

Brent

Thanks Brent…

I wanted to build my app to put it in the app store…

Now I see my certificate in Corona

but I can not see my app in Application loader

after building in corona

I clicked upload to app store

and I see an Error

Metadata Not Found

There was a problem opening package … DLucaKidsGuitarEasyTabs.zip

Unable to find metadata.xml at location …

The document … could not be opened

And I don’t see it in application loader

Please I need help

Thanks

Did you build the app for deployment to market? Have you done this process before, or is this your first time?

Brent

Currently, Application Loader shows some error messages when you launch it from Corona SDK at the end of a build. You need to dismiss the error messages and click “Deliver your App”. This is where you select your app (from iTunesConnect) and the zipped project (your_app_name.zip).

Hi Brent, and Tom

This is Not my first time, I have 3 apps in the app store, last one I upload in June 2014.

Tom, I click on “Deliver your App” but I do not see my app in there

I only see the one I upload last june

I just don’t get it…

The App Loader only shows apps that you have configured in iTunesConnect to be uploaded. In iTunesConnect the app needs to say “Ready for Submission.” The App that you built in Corona must have a bundle ID that matches the one you set up in iTunesConnect. This goes beyond Corona SDK and into Apple’s workflow for publishing apps. A few weeks ago Apple changed iTunesConnect and it’s confusing everyone. There are some links on iTunesConnect to help you understand the process.

Thanks Tom… I went to iTunnes and Add a new App.

but now I wanted to install my app in my iPad to get the screenshots for the App Store.

and I can’t

“The application does not have a valid key signature” – what is that?

I went to certificates and profiles, Edit my profile for Development with a name

– Kids for my iPad – so I can actuallly see that this is the one I need for testing on my iPad

but when I try to build I do not see that name in my drop menu…

isn’t it somewhere a step-by-step simple guide to tell you exactly what to do?

because it is really confusing

Thanks for all your help on this, I really appreciate your time helping me, thanks
