charges on Android and IOS

guys,

I am looking into how much I want to charge for my apps on android and Iphone…

Just reading googles stuff it says,

Checkout Merchant Transaction Fees
Monthly sales under $3,000 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
$3,000 - $9,999.99 2.5% + $0.30
$10,000 - $99,999.99 2.2% + $0.30
$100,000 or more 1.9% + $0.30

Orders from buyers whose billing address is outside the country of your Google Checkout account will be assessed an additional 1% processing fee. Cross-border orders are noted within your account on the Order Details page. Note: the cross-border fee does not apply to Chrome Webstore and Google Play transactions.

Google Play Android Developer Transaction Fees

Transaction fee for all Google Play Android apps 30%
so does that mean if I charge 0.99 cents I will get charged the following,
2.9% + 0.30 + 30% = 0.62 (maybe another 1% depending on where the user is from)

which leaves me with only 0.36

is that right?

anyone who has sold apps can you please verify?

and In app purchases… is that the same?
I am still reading apples EULA… [import]uid: 67619 topic_id: 24238 reply_id: 324238[/import]

I believe that is just 30% for Play based apps. Google checkout is used by all kinds of merchant services for buying stuff online.

At this time I don’t have a pay app up in Google’s Play, so I can’t be for certain. But if they were taking 60+% of your money, there wouldn’t be a marketplace. [import]uid: 19626 topic_id: 24238 reply_id: 97945[/import]

well with apple from the docs i was reading… it seems to be 30% they take… no mention of merchant fees etc…

but the extract that I posted was from Google…
and according to that it says that they take 30% of apps… there is no where it says the 30% includes it all…
