ChartBoost for Starters

Hi

Is ther any way to use ChartBoost if I have an starter license in Corona?

Any option more than AdMob? What about last version of ChartBoost to use?

Thanks!

Hi @mzaifrani,

At this time, the Chartboost plugin is only available to Pro/Enterprise users. AdMob is available to all tiers, and you could also explore iAds or Vungle, both of which are available to all tiers.

Hi Brent.

What if I need to use chartBoost on my apps?

I have one app finished and I need to use it on that app.

Should I spend money and buy a Pro/Enterprise license?

What could be a good alternative?

Waiting for your response.

mzaifrani - For now the only way to get access to certain plugins is via the Pro level. That may change in the future, but unfortunately it is the only option right now.

Brent,

Thanks for your response, for your effort.

My concern is: 6 months ago we had the chance to include ChartBoost (in my opinion the best ads for Android) on our apps. Now, we only can include it if we had a Pro/Enterprise license. I know there is a great advantage having that kind of license and I am thinking on having one of in the future. My present is that I am new on Corona and I guess there will be same intention on monetization for every kind of users that develops in Corona. That is my thought.

Please let me know how can I include ChartBoost on my app or how many months I should expect for having it on my current license.

Thanks!

Hi @mzaifrani,

I understand your dilemma. If you’re new to Corona, my honest advice is that you continue to learn the SDK, begin development on a project, and when you’re ready, attempt using ad networks like AdMob which many developers see good results with. If, at that time, you are receiving positive return from that ad network, explore upgrading to Pro and implementing Chartboost in addition (or just replace the other). In other words, proceed with development, as I assume there will be a fair amount of work involved before you get to the point of needing advertising implementation.

Take care,

Brent

Brent,

Thanks for your advice.

I would like to chat with you continuing that topic in private.

How could I do that?

Hi @mzaifrani,

Generally, we can’t provide private support unless there is a very specific and isolated issue. Are you seeking resources on learning Corona or where to begin with project development?

Thanks,

Brent

Hi Brent

My intention is not to flood the blog with this kind of comments. No matter if I’d like to find resources on learning Corona or where to begin with project development.

For me Corona is a good / great SDK, with great functionality / easy to learn / easy to develop, chosen among others.

I’d like just to talk with someone who can tell me if I can implement ads selected by me on the app I have developed. I have just opened an account / campaign on ChartBoost and Admob. I have my own preferences. As you know, if I had developed my app in another language like Java, I could include this kind of Ads no matter the license. If I feel comfortable with ChartBoost, my intention is to continue including this ads/Banners/Interstitial with ChartBoost. In my opinion, sorry if I am wrong , every developer has to be the freedom to select the ads that better works with the app, and Corona has a lot of them, I guess that is another reason to choice Corona to develop –even for the easy develop and learn-. I am very surprised once I’ve found I’ve to pay for having that kind of Ads on the app –which is one of the reason, for me main reason, to develop the app- is very reasonable.

I don’t like, Brent to be inside your business, to put my noise in the wrong house, I do like to improve Corona as SDK to be greater / better than others, and to have revenue faster selecting my Ads. Just that.

That was my reason to move that topic to private.

Again, thanks for your time.

Hi Brent,

Hi David,

Any comments related to my post? Thanks!

Hi @mzaifrani,

We are evaluating the availability of the Chartboost plugin and we may open it up to all tiers very soon. If/when this occurs, I’ll let you know.

Take care,

Brent

Hi @mzaifrani,

The Chartboost plugin has been opened up to all tiers, so you should be able to use it now. We’ll update the documentation on this soon to indicated that the new availability.

Best regards,

Brent

David,

Brent,

Thanks for your quickly response. I am happy for the election I’ve made. For now, I will try to incorporate ChartBoost on my own app based on the sample I have found on the documentation.

I will let you know about the results.

Thanks!
