Chartboost has no more "clicks delivered" since 2013-11-21

Hello,

I have chartboost ads already for some time in use in a few of my apps and it was working pretty well until  2013-11-21. After this day I’ve noticed that there are no more “clicks delivered” reported in my dashboard and correspondently there are no instals reported and no earnings (all constantly zero from 2013-11-21).

Did you have it the same?

I’ve reported this problem to the support at chartboost - let’s see what they will answer.

Thanks!

I don’t have any problems with Chartboost after the 21st. I still see installs and revenue being registered for my apps.

@ingemar - thanks for replay,

did you use this Chartboost SDK: https://github.com/ChartBoost/corona-sdk ?

In the native apps this problem is not occur.

OMG! Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I did’t check the details. I was only looking at the overview.

I have native apps that use Chartboost too, and they are the only ones generating revenue.
My Corona apps (using the above github source) have also stopped registering installs/revenue.
The CTR dropped to 0 on Nov 21 and has remained at 0 ever since. However they are still registering impressions.

what did you end up doing guys?  would be interested re which ad network to start out with?  (sounds like I shouldn’t use Chartboost)

Actually I’m still using Chartboost. It’s still performing well for me.

Their Corona library is working for iOS now, however I think that it’s a bit unreliable after it was open sourced.

I’m going to write my own plugin using their native iOS SDK instead which is fully supported by them. The thing holding me back at the moment is that I also want Android support in the plugin and I need to get up to speed on the Android side before I begin.

The networks I use are Chartboost->Vungle->Revmob.

thanks - briefly any advice re which ad network if I wanted a “watch this short video ad to unlock XXX”  (or really just advice on what approach/ad network to implement an ad alternative for the user that doesn’t want to do IAP to unlock more levels)

The only video ad network I have experience with is Vungle. I find their videos well made and fun to watch.

ok thanks

@greg886

It may be the case that Apple will reject apps that unlock content that does not use their IAP method. Of course I may be mistaken about this. The Apple review system is inconsistent at best!

Oh. Good point. I was actually thinking of more giving the option to buy or watch an ad instead. Wonder if this would be ok with apple?

i don’t see any revenue from Vungle what so ever, although I Revmob pay has gone down for me, at least they are still adding money to my account.

But with Vungle i can see installs from people but no payouts at all so far for about month of usage.

I think I’ll try Chartboost ->RevMob->Vungle in that order.

Larry

Although this thread is mostly about Chartboost, I can quickly say that Vungle is giving me daily revenue.

@doubledashdesign.

Vungle payment terms are NET60. Make sure you click Publisher Payout & Tax Form on your dashboard. I have received payments from Vungle and I’m happy with them.
