Is there a way to check if the user is using a stylus (like Apple Pencil)?
not important, very few users suggested the Hand Palm Rejection feature,
so I looked around but couldn’t find it.
Have you tried using the pressure event? Need to get a new Apple Pencil to test, but I know the Apple Pencil event returns pressure, and was always curious.
I just got a new Apple Pencil yesterday so I could have tested that theory for you Scott, but the new iPad I ordered at the same time won’t be delivered until the 9th of December…
When it eventually turns up, I’ll try and remember to update here just so you know if it works or not.
With 2021.3661+ you will be able to get event.pressure on iPad (was pretty easy to add since pressure is baked in). Hopefully will find time to add full Apple Pencil support in the near future but if event.pressure > 0 on an iPad, they are either using an Apple Pencil or a rare iPad prototype that supports 3D Touch.
