Choosing Samsung seller type

After loging to Samsung I got this message:

From July 1, 2014, Samsung GALAXY Apps will be transformed into a store which selects and provides optimized applications for Samsung devices. Please refer to the question mark next to each seller type and select a seller type. The current seller type is General.

There are 3 options: Partner, Developer, General

The wordings are not clear to me.

“General” can only update existing apps - so you can’t submit new ones?

“Developer” can only register new apps with Samsung SDK - so you can’t update exsitings ones?

Anyone have more info about this?

I don’t think you’ll be able to publish apps developed with Corona to Samsung anymore.

As of July 1, 2014 they require the use of at least one proprietary Samsung SDK.

Here’s a screen grab from their website FAQ.

If Samsung follows this to the letter, the chances of getting our Corona developed apps published are pretty slim.

The *only* exception is if you become a Samsung Partner. No SDK requirements are put on Partners.
