I just finished my first game, and sent it over to the playstore/appstore. Overall I have really loved corona but I am starting a new project, this project really requires that I develop for web and I was wondering what sort of cross platform development suits would be closest to corona. I want to develop for mobile and web simultaneously and I was wondering if anybody else here had any suggestions for something that would be closest to corona.
lbclofy: You don’t say whether you’re building a game or non-game app. If I were building a non-game app (web/native) and starting from scratch, I would be very intrigued by React Native. Facebook open-sourced it a month or two ago. But I haven’t used it and can’t answer your question about similarity.
I would say, however, that looking for something that’s “closest to Corona” may reduce the time it takes you to do easy things but may limit you to a platform that increases the time it takes you to do complex things. Tradeoffs!
