Cloud VS Google

This just in:

Google might be releasing their own cloud-like service with multiplayer, chat, leaderboards etc support. Any preliminary heads up on how Corona plans on dealing with it? I assume it shouldn’t be too hard to support. Will it affect plans for the Corona-cloud?

Cheers!

I don’t think it would affect Corona Cloud in that, if I understand it correctly, Corona Cloud offers leaderboards, etc., for the app across all devices (i.e., iOS, Android, Kindle and Nook), while Google is offering leaderboards, etc. for Android devices only, just like Apple offers them for iOS devices only.

Anyhow, I can’t wait for Google to offer these features and Corona to offer us plugin or added them to the core!

Edit:  Actually, I think it’s a significant plus for Corona Cloud  if Corona Cloud can bridge Android users and iOS users, allowing them to chat, play against each other, etc.
