code-free development any time soon?

Hi folks,
Total newbie. I am not a programmer, I am a full time physician. But I created Palm OS medical apps with a rapid app development tool PDA Toolbox a few years ago. I had Powerpoint level skills but that’s all it took. I am looking to make similar simple but highly useful iPhone medical apps as well. Can anyone here tell me if Corona is ready to be used by a non-programmer? If not, is expected development of Corona likely to make code-free development possible in the near future?

Hi Josh

Corona is a code based development framework at the moment so you would need to be able to program in order to make anything useful. Depending on what you are doing it could be the case you get someone to set yo up an “engine” specific to your needs and then alter the engine as you require. This would still require some programming but the developer could set it up in such a way as it would be easy to configure.

What I would suggest is that you have a look at the code in some of the examples apps. It is not to difficult to follow and the syntax is easy to pick up. [import]uid: 5354 topic_id: 749 reply_id: 1513[/import]
