I am currently using 2011.704 (2011.12.8) and I can get my APP to compile and run on my Droid phone without issues. However, without making any changes to any of my luas, part of the code breaks causing the APP to fail after I update the build I’m using. The APP loads and shows, but the code fails to “download the messages” that its programmed to do. Not sure how much detail you need posted here for this issue, but part of my code calls a web site and checks for authorization. When it passes the check, a set of messages are downloaded and displayed on the screen. This part fails after I rebuild my code using the latest build. When I uninstall the latest and reinstall version 2011.704, the APP returns back to working condition.
It should be noted - that part of the same scene (and its code that is next to the “broken code”) calls the same URL and locates a JPG on my domain to display at the bottom of the scene. This part of the code works.
The original code was done by a part timer who is no longer around. So since I’m new to Corona, is there a version check in the code that I might need to check that could cause the code to break?
