Is there any information regarding the use of the Composer API for starter users? Will it be available in the next public build release? Is it only available to subscribers at the moment?

I believe it is going to be available in the next public release for all Corona users. At this moment you have to use the latest daily build
Currently it’s only in daily builds. It (and the docs) will be available to Starter and Basic plans when we have our next public release.

sometimes i feel pro subscribers like me are just beta testers for public releases. 
why should i pay $50 a month for something i would get free in a few weeks…

Yes, you need to update to build 2014.2393 (or 2393a on a Mac)
