Confusion Alert! What Corona subscription do I need??

Hi there,
I am about to order my Corona subscription now but I am quite confused about the packages available.

Here is what I need:

  • Develope for iOS devices only
  • But write, run & test my code on Windows 7
  • Then build it on a Mac (for iOS only)

So what version do I need to build for iOS apps, BUT use the Windows SDK to write my code?

Will I have to purchase BOTH, just for being able to write and quick-test my iOS code on a Windows machine as I am used to? :frowning:

The windows version of Corona let’s you only build for Android. If you just want to test in the simulator, then go on your windows machine with a free account.

To create and test for/on a ios device, you need the Mac IOS indie version. DonT’ forget you also need an Apple Developer subscription and of course Apple hardware. [import]uid: 5712 topic_id: 17906 reply_id: 68366[/import]

Mike’s advice is correct [import]uid: 84637 topic_id: 17906 reply_id: 68561[/import]

I’ve got the same question like MauMau as I understand the right answer just use windows free version for development and tests in the simulator and buy Mac IOS version to build and deployment.
But also can you please answer few more questions:
Does free windows version and simulator on it works only 30 days?
Is functional for development and test in simulator the same for free and indie versions? [import]uid: 107834 topic_id: 17906 reply_id: 70361[/import]

as you use free trial you can only use latest stable build, and if you paid for subscription you get access to daily builds, so there’s some difference in functional

and trial version is trial forever, so use it as long as you want to code and test your game on android and ios [import]uid: 16142 topic_id: 17906 reply_id: 70364[/import]
