CoolMasking, take total control over collision masking

Hi

One month ago I have started with Corona SDK and I have to said that the explanation of collision masking part in the official documentation is anecdotal. And looking for some information, tutorial or something on internet I have found only a few pages, in one the writer was totally wrong and in other, is a very good explanation of ignis design and i have used his technique in part of my application.

I decided to make a little application to take total control and can see perfectly the results of collisions between number of elements that we want.

You can find the application (for free) and a good explanation of how the masking and app work in my blog:
http://unliocode.wordpress.com/2011/09/12/lios-de-la-corona-coolmasking-domestica-tus-mascaras/

For the moment this app is only for windows but I’m going to prepare it for osx.

If you have any questions, find a bug or whatever only have to send me a mail to the direction that appears in the text box on the bottom right side in the application.

Ciao

@hector,
that is nice, why do you not make it for the mobile devices using CoronaSDK, it will be much more usable that way.

just my two bits on the topic.

cheers,

I had not thought about it because when we are developing a game (or some multi-media application) we are on a pc (or mac), a computer after all.

This app is like any other 3rd party tool and I think that his place is not in a mobile device but in the same computer where we are making all the job.

I hope the application will be useful for you :wink:

That looks pretty cool. I’m looking forward to using the OSX version :slight_smile: [import]uid: 7841 topic_id: 15012 reply_id: 55762[/import]

A Mac version would be nice, but thanks for such a nice tool! [import]uid: 9546 topic_id: 15012 reply_id: 56344[/import]
