copy/paste does not work on my android device.

Corona is 2017.3157, and the app is “NativeDisplayObject” in the SampleCode folder.

This device info is the following.

Sony Xperia D 2105

Android 4.4.2

The screen scrolls down for just a moment and the text is selected, but the selection will be canceled immediately.

I would appreciate it if you could tell me how to solve this problem.

Thanks.

Exactly the same is happening to me, happening on the Samsung S7, Astro Tab, and a lot of other android devices too. I’m running the newest daily build (apparently that was supposed to fix it) but nothing is working.

If this is the problem of the application made by myself, it is no wonder that the staff does not comment. But this is a sample of Corona.

Could anyone help us?

Hello guys,

Let me check with Engineering team again. We definitely fixed and tested it on a bunch of devices.

Seems there are some device/version combinations which are still not working.

Hi Bektur,

Thank you for your reply. I hope this problem will be solve.

When is Corona staff (@Bektur ?) going to reply in this thread with a solution?

According to these threads, the problem was solved in Corona 2017.3156, but that’s not the case — at least not for us. Everyone user a Samsung device cannot paste in our app. We’ve had to create a build using an older version of Corona, and that’s causing problems of its own with the Google Play Store saying if we release a build targeting an earlier SDK (which we have to with the older Corona), it will cause installation errors for users.

We haven’t heard from Corona for 2 weeks in this thread. Is there an answer forthcoming?

I bought this up with Engineering today. Let’s see what I can find.

Okay I’ve done some more digging, and it seems to work only with an old build of corona, or with exactly 3159, not any newer builds like 3160. Do the newer daily builds (like even 3160) not keep not keep features from previous builds? This seems odd…

Fixes should stick in between new daily builds. I’ve asked the engineers to re-investigate this.
