Corona 3rd Party Plugins Store!

Hi there,

are you also interested in a 3rd Party Plugins Store for PRO Users?

More and more we are in need for Plugins and Corona does there best, but with limited Resources.

If we would have the option to purchase 3rd Party Plugins from a Corona Store:

  1. Some of our great Enterprise Developers could develop Plugins for Pro Users

and may even earn some money (Corona could do a Store like the Chrome Store or Google Play Market)

Here I think Corona could save lots of Resources developing requested Plugins and focus on more

    important work.

  1. Users could faster get the Plugins they are looking for.

    for example:

    - Apple/Google Cloud Support

    - New AdNetworks

    - OS specialized Plugins, like Desktop Widgets for Android,
    - Payment Systems

    - Specialized 2D/3D GFX Routines

… lots more that would appear when we have the option of a 3rd Party Store.

What do you think about ?

A plugin marketplace like this has been mentioned many times in the past, and I believe CoronaLabs have it on their to-do list.

When will it be available? I don’t know. It all depends on how high on their priority list it is.

For Enterprise developers to be able to develop plugins that Pro users can use, there needs to be a framework in place where plugin developers can upload their plugins, and where Pro users can link the plugins into their apps during Corona Simulator builds. That framework doesn’t exist and would need to be created by CoronaLabs.
