I know Corona is updating the current audio library to fix the crashes caused by OpenAL. Any chance this new library will officially support things like controlling pitch, pan, etc and this?

The new library is for Android only and is call compatible with the existing audio.* API’s so you don’t have to make any code changes once we release it. Controlling pitch, pan, etc. isn’t part of this update as far as I know.
