Corona call our Java / C++ library method

hello there,

sorry I just newbie in corona development.

now Im in progress to build social apps, and I want to ask is it possible for corona to :

  • check incoming sms from server and parse the sms in order to auto activate account or phone number validation of new registrar (just like whatsapp does)

  • get phone contact list so that user can invite or find existing user from phone contact list

  • check the position so then user can explore other user nearby

if there no corona feature for above task, is it possible for us to create our own java/obj-c module and call it with corona? what corona package for make it possible?

what does native means in corona enterprise? is it truly call our free code in Java/obj-C and call it with corona OR just simply shortcut to openPopup dialog which is only open phone default dialog (only a shortcut such launcher to open browser app, or launcher to open phone call dialog / email screen)

hopefully i can create my own form for example for sending SMS, and send it through my own function maybe newSMS.send(), without opening phone default sms screen and tap the send button.

here I got from some info from irc discussion and correct me if Im wrong

danielbudihardja:hi [SK] Ray, is it possible to read phone contact number with corona just like whatsapp invite method?

[1:09pm][SK]Ray:havn’t tried it, but here’s a tutorial that’s not too old: http://coronalabs.com/blog/2013/08/13/access-to-ios-contacts/

[1:11pm]danielbudihard-1:oh ic, it seems the android version still under development

[1:14pm]danielbudihard-1:sorry I just new in corona, is it possible for corona for apps to check incoming sms from server for auto authenticate registrar account?

[1:19pm][SK]Ray:send sms, i think so… know about the delivery… not that im aware of… maybe if you used enterprise and coded it native…

[1:36pm]danielbudihard-1:i haven’t read further about native by enterprise corona. but as long as I know, if the native is just like showPopup, then it will be same just like “launcher apps” which is only shortcut for opening browser apps for example.

[1:39pm]danielbudihard-1:can we do free code using java for example and call our module with corona, in case we stuck with corona feature? is it the meaning of enterprise corona ability to call native? or native method is only limited for show dialog of sending sms or shortcut to open phone call screen?

[1:40pm][SK]Ray:as far as i know, if you use enterprise, you can do whatever the OS lets you do]

[1:45pm]danielbudihard-1:so is it right for me to assume that I can write my free code with java or obj-c and call it with corona enterprise?

[1:46pm]kapser joined the chat room.

[1:46pm][SK]Ray:that’s my understanding… not a lot of enterprise users come in here though…

[1:46pm][SK]Ray:i’d talk to corona sales , and give them your use case

[1:47pm]danielbudihard-1:ok thanks a lot dude!

thanks for help!
