Corona CIDER Advanced Debugger with IDE - v 1.5.1- Update

Hello Community,

Please see our website at
http://www.mydevelopersgames.com/CIDER/
It comes complete with lots of videos you can watch to see what CIDER can do! We are now offering a free fully functional trial version as well.

#### Available for both Mac and Windows!
We would first like to thank everyone for helping us come this far by purchasing our previous products AutoLAN, Profiler, and Ultimote. We are proud to introduce Corona® Cider, a visual debugger and IDE for Corona SDK. This will make debugging and coding in Corona interactive, fun, and fast. Features of the IDE include:

-All the features you would expect from a visual debugger.
-Set/Remove Breakpoints all from the IDE. During runtime or before.
-Pause execution and report current program counter position
-Step into/out functionality
-Run to cursor functionality
-Local/Global variables view
-Set variables during runtime
-Step backwards, saves history of execution
-IDE automatically goes to runtime errors and gives you a variable dump so you can find bugs.
Other Useful IDE Features:
-Fully customizable colors and zoom. Even change tab spaces.
-Integrated Subversion/Git/Mercurial support. Commit changes and check out repositories directly from IDE.
-Local history feature saves all changes made to your source code and displays them visually.
-Bookmarks
-Macro recording capability
-Fully Un/Dockable tabbed window system
-Setting locals/globals from the IDE
-More IDE features
-Auto formatting (auto indent)
-Corona hints

The launch price now is $29.99 and the following features are on the roadmap for the next updates/plugins.
-Integrated performance profiler
-Integrated memory profiler

Hello Tom,

Thanks for the pointers.
The initial release will be aimed at a fully featured visual debugger as currently this does not exist (as far as we know) for Corona. All the other complex IDE features will be implemented in future releases.

Thanks,
M.Y. Developers [import]uid: 55057 topic_id: 23072 reply_id: 92255[/import]

This is a great (and frankly overdue) idea. However, it’s just not something you can expect developers to buy in blind faith. You’d need to have a trial period of some sort so we have a chance to fall in love with the product :stuck_out_tongue: [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 23072 reply_id: 92260[/import]

cool can’t wait to try it out [import]uid: 24 topic_id: 23072 reply_id: 92261[/import]

Hello Blasterv,
Thanks for your interest.
We are thinking of some sort of trial and we have a 100% money back guarantee if you are unsatisfied.

Will it have a list of functions so you can jump straight to them? This is the sole reason I stick with inDEED. And will there be a windows version? [import]uid: 93133 topic_id: 23072 reply_id: 92265[/import]

you guys rock! [import]uid: 12704 topic_id: 23072 reply_id: 92266[/import]

Very very NICE M.Y.!

Hey may I evaluate this as being a customer of your other products as well?
Congrats.

@nick_sherman
Our intend is not to replace your favorite IDE but to provide a much needed debugging feature for Corona. We will add more IDE features in the upcoming updates. Yes, there is a windows version available as well.

Will it trap segment violations and bus errors? i.e. The things that crash our apps and we have no idea why?
