Corona Developer wanted

Hi all,

I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place to post this, but I am looking for a contract developer for an imminent project.

I realize that there is the Studios section of the site, and I will contact some of those folks as well.

I am a longtime interactive media producer, and have been a Corona subscriber for some time, and although I’ve very technical, I’m not a developer myself. The subscription was to stay on top of the capabilities of the SDK for when the time came to produce an app. Well that time has come.

I’m looking for a contractor (or small team) that ideally, will become a regular resource for me and my company. I love the idea of outsourcing and virtual teams. I ran a media production shop for over a decade and I like the idea of not managing full time employees again.

The first app I’m producing will be very content-driven, but I want to have a very elegant UI to access that content. A similar app that is in the store already is Video Time Machine. It’s doing pretty well on the charts, but I feel like the UI could be a lot prettier. Plus, I want to add some simple game mechanics such as trivia, score posting, and “coin” earning to the app.

Alas, as these things often come down, there is a tight timeline and my client just decided to move forward, so whomever I hire to work with me on this needs to be able to rock it for the next few weeks. I will bring the visual and sound design to the project (unless you have a totally kick-ass UI person as well).

If you are up for it, please send me a note, and include links to any apps you may have in the store or other references. I am working on detailed specs and wireframes now, and expect to have them ready early next week.

I love what Ansca has done with Corona, and I think it will be awesome for producers like me to have this tool to create for multiple platforms.

Cheers,
Bill

So are you looking for a fixed fee, sweat equity with a fixed percentage, or somewhere in the middle. If you gives a little bit more information on the financials without being specific that would probably help you get replies/interest  [import]uid: 8872 topic_id: 11932 reply_id: 43579[/import]

Sure-- I should have mentioned if previously.

No equity, in fact this will be a free app (potentially in-app purchases down the line).
So it’s a pure work-for-hire with a solid budget based on a project fee plus change orders on hourly.
I have a range in mind but i expect the vendor to provide the estimate based on the spec.

Cheers
