During this Hangout, Corona Developer, Steve Johnson (aka, Star Crunch in the forums) will be talking about Coroutine. Coroutines are an important part of Lua which seem to fly under the radar of many developers. In this segment we’ll discuss what they are, cover some of their pros and cons, and introduce one way of using them together with Corona’s timers.
René Aye from PyroPixel, will also show us how to create 2D shadows effects. Check out this great demo video to see what he’s been up to.

Using coroutines sounds like a great way to optimize certain features of an app. We’ll have to dig deeper into them in 2015. Also, the 2D shadows demo was pretty slick. René has updated the repo several times since the Hangout. Be sure to check for updates if you are experimenting with the 2D Shadows library.
