During this week’s Hangout we’ll be starting a new game mechanics series with a focus on breaking down the various elements and mechanics of an endless runner game. We’ll start off with a planning session to define what pieces should be included and what the rules of the game should be. We’ll also spend some time discussing the Transition Library and how it can be used to add motion to your apps.
We’ll be using an existing game as an example. Take a look at Zig Zag Boom to see where the series is headed, https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zig-zag-boom/id955170175?mt=8
