Corona/HTML5: Work in progress

Right as far as frameworks go our current plans are to bring Windows desktop builds and tvOS out of beta and then flush them out to a comparable level to their iOS and Android siblings. We want to get back to HTML5, but with our current engineering staff and the tasks they are focused on, HTML5 will continue to wait.

Any idea on a timescale on this? Just debating whether to build from scratch for Chromebooks using HTML5 or whether there’s a chance we might be able to build from our existing Corona code…

Thanks,

Ian

This won’t be coming soon. It’s on hold.

Any updates on this feature? html5 compiling - in general.

HTML5 is something that we want to do but we’ve had other more important tasks to work on (desktop builds, the fuse plugin, tvOS, etc. Now that Corona is part of Perk.com, we don’t yet know where HTML5 fits in the roadmap. We are a couple of days into working with Perk.com. Hopefully we can get some answers to questions like this soon.

Rob

Ok thanks for the update Rob. We’ll look at alternatives.

Cheers,

Ian

Mind to share with developers any HTML5 build for us in year 2016? Even my team, we’ve to build web / Facebook games for this year.
